Lamentably ridiculous paper on cultural appropriation of poutine (my phone wants to change that to pouting — which seems apt somehow. )
What’s troubling though, is that cultural appropriation is the latest PC fad, here in Canada at least, and it’s attended by fear.
Can I allow my children to wear an aborigonal costume if they are not aboriginal? No.
Can I write a book whose protagonist is in a wheelchair from the first-person POV if I, as a writer, am not in a wheelchair? No. Ad nauseum.
Heavy sigh. Eagerly awaiting the day the whole intersecting feminism nonsense implodes.

I still find it strange that you write about “the patriarchy” as if it has nothing to do with you. Canon Press and Apologia *are* unapologetically patriarchal, are they not?

Are you saying we haven’t found The Patriarchy because we ARE the patriarchy? So meta.

Yes, that would be a better way of putting it.
