When talking to some ladies from church I told them about your point that the definition of a friend is someone who is leading you to God. They all disagreed and said no they have lots of good friends who are not believers. Their argument was that believers can lead you down a wrong path at times.
P.s I agree with what you are saying as you can love non believers but they are not truly friends. But I had no way of convincing these ladies and didn’t want to argue and be a bad friend 🤣
