The book “Frankenstein” was written by the daughter of the first Feminist(TM). Long before female authors were commonplace, women from centuries past pioneered the ghost story. It is unmistakable – women and the horror genre are best friends.

This week we talk Rosemary’s Baby. Although it was not written by a woman, it was influential for abortion right’s activists in the 60’s and 70’s. Feminists today also revere this text as “domestic horror” that accurately depicts the terror of the patriarchy. But is that really what book or movie does and is?
