Surprised by Joy
This week we are kick off two weeks of heartwarming story-time. Because it is December and some love stories are just better than others.
The Unsolved Disappearance of Bobby Dunbar
Welcome back to story time with Joy and Summer! This week Joy unfolds a mystery from the early 20th century that took decades to solve--kind of. A young boy went missing, and was eventually found—except the boy that was found might not have been the missing boy at all.
The Struggle: Is It Real?
A really common phrase you'll hear in Christian circles begins, "I'm really struggling with...." and then insert whatever sin here. But sometimes it is hard to tell if this is a euphemism or not. How we talk about our sin will certainly impact how we can fight that sin. So, "the struggle" we are talking about: is it real?
The God Joseph Knew: Why Compatibilism is Biblical
This week we want to try to help you think through God's sovereignty and man's responsibility. How can it be true that God is in control of all things? What about evil things? What about sin? How can we be held responsible for sin if God controls all that we do? Let's chat!
Why Trust The Bible? with Dr. Michael Kruger
Dr. Michael Kruger joins us on this episode to discuss why we believe the Bible as we have it today is the Bible that God meant us to have, why we don't have to be scared of textual variants, and why inspiration might not be what you've been told it is!
The Idolatry of Addiction
The world says, "Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic!" Paul says, "Such WERE some of you!" This week we want to challenge what the world believes about addiction, and measure it against Scripture.
BONUS: Anne Hathaway at the HRC
We couldn't hold on to our Feminist of the Week nomination any longer. Anne Hathaway gave a speech at the Human Rights Campaign that should positively terrify you. Listen in!
